Why Shadow Work therapy?

Have you ever found yourself reacting to a person or situation so strongly that you thought, “Where did THAT come from??” or “That was so NOT me!”. How often do you feel like you are “stuck” in repeating patterns – relationships, jobs, the way you do things? Some of the most common patterns include the inability to maintain or finish something you’ve started, finding it impossible to say no to people, sacrificing yourself – your time, your energy, your wellbeing – for others, and feeling like you are not good enough.

Shadow Work therapy takes you into your psyche, to gain deeper insight about your patterns, impulses, emotions, and tendencies. A journey to recognise your different parts, so that you are able to really understand your selves. This modality is based on the Jungian psychological theory of seeing and recognising that we are made up of different parts – our sub-personalities; our Archetypes.

A bit about Archetypes...

We all have a number of Archetypes within us who reside in our subconscious. All our Archetypes exist to help us survive and to keep us safe. They do this by influencing how we behave, according to their idea of what will keep us safe. Unfortunately, some of these behaviour or impulses might inadvertently have a negative impact in our lives. Our goal in this programme is to work with your Archetypes – to recognise what they are and to get to know them more intimately. This will allow you to find out why they are dominant in your life, how they are impacting your life, and most importantly how we can help them grow so that their light sides are activated, enabling them to support you to live your life in the best possible way.

Shadow Work Charting

This first session takes around 2,5 hours. The Charting session involves us working closely to explore the 12 most dominant Archetypes, their light and shadow sides, and which area of your life they are most active in at the moment. Shadow Work Deep Dive

This is a 1,5 hour session to meet a chosen archetype. Through light hypnosis, I will guide you to meet and dialogue with your chosen Archetype. The goal of this session is to find out where the archetype came from, what situations trigger them, how they are affecting your life, what can be done to help them grow.
